Mothers Day

As another Mothers Day came and went I reflect. Today was not very different from any other Sunday. I got cards, I looooove cards. I still did dishes, cooked dinner, make lunches for work tomorrow. My son still argued with me and my head still hurts.
Did I ever make my mom feel special? Did I take her breakfast in bed, offer to clean. Although I will readily admit that those things should be done more than one day a year, I can't recall. I can't remember if I tried to make life easier. Having a teenager now I can only speculate on how she made it through five of them, having three at a time too!
I love you mom. I miss you mom. I hope I did it right, at least one day a year. I hope, while you lived, while you sacrificed your life for mine, that I made you feel special, made it a little easier. Rest easy, I will see you soon. <3

Parenting. A lot harder than it looks

I love (note - dripping sarcasm) when people who do NOT have children think that they know how to raise them best. Let me tell ya, it's not quite so hard to babysit for a couple hours than it is to be a parent day in and day out. To balance life, work, school, children and everything else all in a matter of mere hours a day.

In case it has escaped anyone's attention, children don't come with manuals, tips or instructions. Sometimes life gets the best of you and they win. It happens. Doesn't make anyone a bad parent necessarily. Just makes us all human and prone to occasionally take the path of least resistance. Sometimes that's cartoon, McDonald's or nothing at all.

I am in no way, shape or form saying that people without children don't know what they are talking about. Just saying, don't judge when all you do is babysit for a few hours every few weeks. It's a lot different (by different I certainly mean easier) than being a parent full time.

Just saying.

Yep, I'm just THAT kinda person

The kind that prays for people she doesn't know.
The kind who doesn't care how other people see or perceive her, but only how she perceives and sees herself.
The kind that puts others needs before her own.
The kind that strives to make others happy, to get a laugh, even just a smile, to brighten a dark day.
The kind that tries to always do the right thing, even in the face of adversity.
I'm certainly not perfect, don't claim to be, don't try to be. I try to go to bed feeling good about myself and the choices I made.

Am I hungry or not?

Do I want to eat because I am hungry or because I see the food? This is the question.
Talking about it probably doesn't help cause then I am still thinking about it.
Its healthy, low calories and good for me, but WHY do I want to eat it? I don't feel particularly hungry (maybe a little).
I am craving sugar, it is sweet. I need my Jell-O! Sugar free Jell-O only has 10 calories ya know. Okay, well I will get back to work and hope I forget about it.

I love, love, love my Blackberry 8900 Curve.

I am one of those users that RIM wants, needs to have. I have had a Blackberry for a couple years now and couldn't imagine switching to anything else. I've played with the iPhone and seen a Droid in action .... they have more bells and whistles but I still love the stability and security of my Blackberry.

I'll admit, I really wish I could the Word game with my iPhone toting friends... I rock at Scrabble, but having an aversion to all things touch screen in life I don't think that would work to well anyhow. I'll settle with my Word Mole, BB Weather and Crackberry everyday, all day (or at least until my berry battery dies).

Just wanted to shout out some loyalty and crackberry addiction!

Yo.

Hate the truth

I am so tired of ignorant, lie spreading hate mongers that will say anything to make other people dislike the things that they dislike. Its disgusting when someone won't take 5 minutes of their day to verify the shit they spew. Its called Google, or Snopes or just plain old "don't believe every damn thing you see".

So if you want to hate something, at least hate something real. Don't base your ignorant opinions on propaganda and forwards from your friends.

Just saying.

Yo.
