Parenting. A lot harder than it looks

I love (note - dripping sarcasm) when people who do NOT have children think that they know how to raise them best. Let me tell ya, it's not quite so hard to babysit for a couple hours than it is to be a parent day in and day out. To balance life, work, school, children and everything else all in a matter of mere hours a day.

In case it has escaped anyone's attention, children don't come with manuals, tips or instructions. Sometimes life gets the best of you and they win. It happens. Doesn't make anyone a bad parent necessarily. Just makes us all human and prone to occasionally take the path of least resistance. Sometimes that's cartoon, McDonald's or nothing at all.

I am in no way, shape or form saying that people without children don't know what they are talking about. Just saying, don't judge when all you do is babysit for a few hours every few weeks. It's a lot different (by different I certainly mean easier) than being a parent full time.

Just saying.
